How the 2026-27 salary cap works
For the 2026-27 season the NBA salary cap is $164,961,000, the luxury tax line is $200,428,000, the first apron is $209,015,000 and the second apron is $221,686,000, figures set by the league on 30 June 2026 and reported by Hoops Rumors. A team above the first apron loses the taxpayer mid-level exception and cannot take back more salary than it sends out in a trade; above the second apron it also cannot aggregate contracts in a trade, use cash in a deal or sign buyout players who earned above the mid-level.
The 14 listed Los Angeles Clippers salaries above sum to $161,043,118, 98% of the cap figure. Players ESPN has not yet listed a 2026-27 salary for are excluded, so treat that sum as a floor rather than a complete figure.
Every player with position, height and age is on the Los Angeles Clippers roster; reported deals are in trade rumors.
